Well, I don’t know if the Design Team at the new challenge blog, CAS(E) this Sketch, will think I managed to pull off clean and simple with this — my second entry for their first challenge — or if they’ll shake their heads in dismay….because this card has a lot of stuff going on with it. Of course, I realized that fact AFTER I finished my masterpiece. But I loved this sketch so much and even if it doesn’t meet the CAS criteria, I’ve gotta give a shout out to the sketch and this new place to play in the blogosphere.
This first CTS sketch really is a keeper. As time allows, I’m going to give it another go to try to REALLY get it down to the CAS bones. But for my second card here, I wanted very much to work with another of SU’s great embossing folders, Northern Flurry. It’s been around awhile, but I’ve just recently acquired it, and — like all the other EF’s — I’m loving it. And I added PINK to my card (who ever saw a pink snowflake???), still doing my duty and observing October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There’s some glitter, some pink….but still a lot of white space…….so, MAYBE it’s CAS, after all??
The little snowflakes were cropped with the Boho Blossoms Punch. The large pink snowflake is one of the elements of the new SU Bigz Die offered in this year’s wonderful Holiday catalog. I’ve gone with a Whisper White and Melon Mambo color combo here, because–again–surely we need some pink snowflakes, too!
Thanks for visiting my Little Corner again today! –Terri
