Pals and Pixels

PPA180-Terri Orr

This MDS digital Christmas card works for two challenges this time, and it felt good to get digi again.  The colors are courtesy of the Pixel Maven‘s Soft Sky, Real Red, and Basic Gray choices for PMDC-033, and the sketch is courtesy of the Pals Paper Arts, PPA180.

I thought they worked wonderfully well together for a greeting that ended up being somehow soft and happy and bright.

For this digi-card, I used:

  • Square Punches (pulled into rectangles, too) and the Flag Punch, all filled with the various colors of Whisper White, Basic Gray, Soft Sky, and Real Red.
  • Embellishments: Simple Grosgrain Ribbon and a Bow in Real Red, plus one Silver Brad and one Basic Gray Button, all sized to fit.
  • Stamps–and lots of them: sentiment from All Holidays; the “Falalala” and “Oh What Fun” are both from the Oh What Fun Overlays; the various snowflakes, all done in varying opacities of Soft Sky, are from Winter Post and Christmas Jingle.

  2. I love the embossing/shadow effect on the top part of the card. Such a lovely design! I’m glad you could submit to two challenges! Thanks for playing along at Pixel Maven’s DigiChallenge 🙂
