After many weeks of no time, no inspiration, and just plain not feeling well, I was very happy to finally get to stamp for most days of this past week. I managed to put together all but one of the My Paper Pumpkin kits I’ve been hoarding since March (saving that last one for a paper-play date with my great-niece), and made 3 additional cards that I desperately needed to work on. I’m SO behind! This card is the last one I’ll likely be sharing for awhile again, though, as I’m headed into another month of busy-busy. Glad this one is for a challenge that’s near and dear to me.
Pals Paper Arts #169 sketch challenge provided the springboard for my chance to use my second favorite dsp from the 2013-14 catalog: Afternoon Picnic. The colors in this paper just make my heart sing. 
I used the sketch to showcase three different designs from the dsp collection, further highlighting them with the use of the Honeycomb Embossing Folder on the Coastal Cabana swatch, and cutting the Wisteria Wonder swatch into a banner shape.
To help catch up on some of my lost stamping time these last weeks, I went a little crazy with some ink on this card. I’ve used the Secret Garden stamps (and the matching Framelits to cut them out) to make the multi-layered flower (and to stamp the bold Coastal Cabana flower on the envelope).
The little sentiment tag is stamped using stamps from one of the My Paper Pumpkin kits. In this kit, there was the “Hello” sentiment (actually, the stamp says “Hello to you”, but I chose to only ink up part of it), the heart and the tiny chevron background stamp. I stamped the three together, and then decided to make my own punch, using the Decorative Label Punch, cropped twice, to get the size and design here. I added a tiny bow of Very Vanilla Seam Binding, tied up with the same Linen Thread I used to attach the tag to the back of the flower. Both the Vintage Faceted Button and the heart on the tag are topped off with a Wisteria Wonder Candy Dot. LOVE these things–one of the best additions SU! has added to their line-up!
I kept the “saw-tooth”/angled lines look going by cropping the front of my card slightly shorter than the back, using the pinking-shear-looking piece from the Finishing Touches Edgelits. I may not have gotten to play with my paper goodies and tools in quite awhile, but I made up for it this week by using as much of it all as I could!
